INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine blueberries, water, and sugar.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until blueberries have burst and syrup has thickened.

  4. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.

  5. Serve warm or let cool completely and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.



Tips:

  • For a smoother syrup, puree the mixture in a blender or food processor before serving.

  • If using frozen blueberries, there is no need to thaw them first.
