INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 jar (24 ounces) spaghetti sauce
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
- While spaghetti is cooking, brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in spaghetti sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
- Drain spaghetti and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Stir to combine.
- Pour the spaghetti mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the top.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
TIPS:
- For a richer flavor, use homemade spaghetti sauce.
- If you don't have ground beef, you can use ground turkey, chicken, or sausage instead.
- Add your favorite vegetables to the sauce, such as mushrooms, peppers, or spinach.
- Top the spaghetti with additional cheese, such as cheddar or provolone.
